Workflow Error Validation

Publishing workflows in Cogent CRM is now a safer process, which prevents broken automation from reaching your clients. This ensures that your automated client communications and internal processes remain professional and error-free.

  1. Click Publish on your workflow.
  2. If errors are detected, a modal will appear listing the unresolved issues.
  3. Click Review Issues to open the Resolve Errors sidebar.
  4. For each error, select Open Step to jump to the specific action or use AI assistance to fix it.
  5. Once all errors are resolved, click Publish.

Tip: You can still save your progress even if errors are present, allowing you to pick up where you left off later.

Manual Payment Retries

You can now manually retry failed subscription payments, which helps ensure consistent revenue from client retainers. This provides more control over recovering funds and reduces the risk of service interruptions for your clients.

  1. Navigate to Payments > Subscriptions.
  2. Open any subscription with an Unpaid or Past due status.
  3. Select the option to retry the oldest unpaid payment using a saved card or a new card.
  4. Optionally, set the new card as the default payment method for the subscription.

Tip: You can attempt a failed payment retry up to three times with the same card before a 24-hour cooldown period applies.

AI-Powered App Discovery

Finding specific software integrations is now easier through AI-powered discovery. This allows you to find the exact tools your firm needs for specialized legal tasks without searching through long lists in the Marketplace.

  1. Open the Ask AI tool.
  2. Describe the tool or capability you need in plain language (e.g., "Is there a real estate integration available?").
  3. Review the top Marketplace recommendations displayed in the chat.
  4. Click View Details on a recommendation to learn more about the app.
  5. Click Show more apps in Marketplace if you want to browse additional options.

How-to: Validate workflows before publishing

Cogent CRM now validates workflows before they are published to prevent errors in your client automation. This ensures that your automated legal workflows run correctly the first time you go live.

  1. Build your workflow steps and triggers.
  2. Review the canvas for any configuration warnings.
  3. Click Publish to trigger the validation check.
  4. Fix any errors identified by the system before finalizing the publication.
